It hurt.
Badly.
You saw Armin's tears. And you knew he was dead.
Over three years, you had grown so close to Eren. It always scared you that he was so determined to kill the titans. He would never stop until every one of them was dead.
And for him to die, devoured by a titan...seemed so ironic. Yet it pained you. It shocked the rest of them; but for you, Armin, and Mikasa, it stung. Mikasa stood still as a statue, processing the sobs that Armin had produced. Head in his hands, you knew that he felt empty. Eren had died saving him.
It was scary. If someone that skilled and determined could die, then anything was possible. You watched as Mikasa raised her blade, giving a speech. It was empty. You didn't pay attention, all you could think of was that one, still moment.
As everyone flew off, determined yet still fearful, you stayed. You stood and mourned solemnly. He would never get to see the outside walls now. After a heartbeat, you flew off, (h/c) hair streaming behind you.
Many people swung through the air. But a large amount of those people were devoured. Only a few remained. Beads of sweat dropped down your face, concentrating on avoiding the outstretched behemoth arms trying to grab you. They were everywhere. Titans...your worst nightmare.
Then came the sole moment all of the remaining people had waited for. Bracing yourselves, everyone crashed into the grass, but broke through. The delicate pieces flew everywhere, giving a few people some cuts. Everyone rolled across the floor from the impact.
Slowly everybody stood up and shook themselves off. Soon everyone began grouping up and shuddering, mumbling in fear. No one was safe. Titans were roaming the gas storage room, and no one was brave enough to go down, at least until Armin had a plan.
Most people went downstairs to help, but you stayed. Your (e/c) eyes were so empty, emotionless. Everyone was dying around you. Everyone.
Tears rolled down your face as you went into a corner. You needed time. Time to let it out. You hoped that the fear of not being to retaliate to the titanic beasts wouldn't overcome your strength. You prayed that you would stay strong to the bitter end, unlike so many.
Unlike Eren.
Soon they came back up from below, punching the air in success. It must've gone perfectly. For them, at least.
And soon there was a rumble. A large face peeked in from a new hole.
"They can smell us!"
Everyone ran around fearfully. Everything was going wrong.
But you would have to take back your words.
A behemoth fist lunged, punching the Titan in the face. Steam billowed up from the bruise. Soon a new titan came into view.
Hope.
The titan struck the others mercilessly. It was humanity's retaliation.
But not for long. Titans swarmed around it, biting into its flesh as if it was human. They tore off skin like wild, bloodthirsty dogs. "Cannibalism?" No one knew. But the titan didn't give up. Even with so much of it ripped off, it began killing the others in a frenzy. One by one, the other titans fell, this strange titan tearing at their napes.
But nothing lasted forever. The titan fell, exhausted - steam rising from its tired body. You could see something wriggling out of the nape of the Titan. A human. With pieces of hot skin still attached, someone rose out of the fallen titan.
You couldn't believe it. Tears filled your eyes, and a smiled formed on your face.
It was him.
It was Eren.

"Erwin!" You screamed as you shot up in bed. You could feel your cold sweat causing your skin to stick to itself, upon looking down at your hands you realized they were shaking. You ran your fingers through your hair as you made an attempt to steady your breathing. It had been months since he died yet you still couldn't shake these nightmares. Erwin Smith had been like an older brother to you since you joined the Scouts and now he was just gone. You stood from your bed, your entire body shaking out of pure terror. Wrapping one of the blankets from your bed around you you silently made your way out into the hallway, just needing a chance to cl

Tueur - Assassin!LevixReader [SnK/Attack on Titan]
Shadow-obscured eyes trailed the spare figure as it made its way towards the gate, thickly-cloaked back hunched against the icy wind that was making its nightly rounds throughout the town. Shiganshina was quiet tonight - lights were off in homes and the usual street-loiterers were absent. Perhaps the people sensed danger in the air, a brief but meaningful warning whispering along the shells of their ears and stinging their skin with the cold. Those who had hidden away were less idiotic, Levi decided - somewhat less.
He remained crouching behind the chimney, lithe legs and torso arranged in just the right position for him to view the man with
